What is the Cloud Launch Team?

Welcome to Rackspace! I’m Nick Garza, a Cloud Launch Manager for new cloud signups. Our team works with both Managed Infrastructure and Managed Operations service level cloud accounts for the first 60 days. Our goal is to make that time as easy and productive as we can.

You signed up and agreed to pay for something, but what did you buy? How can you partner with Rackspace to make whatever great stuff you’re working on even better?

Helping you understand what you are capable of accomplishing with your new cloud account is what we’re all about.

How do we do it?

  • We proactively reach out to each new signup to introduce ourselves, field any initial questions and give you an overview of the control panel and products.

  • We extend a welcome ticket with helpful getting started information including anything specifically requested on the call. This ticket also includes our personal contact information and schedule so you have everything you need to get in touch with us directly. Miss the call? Don’t worry, you’re still getting a ticket. We’re like Oprah in that regard, EVERYONE GETS A TICKET!

  • We’re always up to schedule a follow up call when it’s convenient for you. Let us know by chat, phone, ticket, whatever is easiest and we will set something up.

  • Not a phone person? That’s cool too, we also respond to tickets and chats. Type at us!

Rackspace offers many different optimized servers to fit your needs and our launch managers are experts in getting you set up right. We establish how your project works and offer solutions based on your feedback. There is no cookie cutter, our solution is custom fit.

Are you planning to grow? We can help you make the right choices now for success in the future. For example, instead of a hosting on a single server we recommend utilizing multiple servers behind a load balancer. This would enable you to avoid downtime by scaling horizontally.

The extent we can support you and your infrastructure as launch managers is directly tied to your support level.

For Managed Infrastructure customers we can provide you with best practices and directions to getting yourself up and running. This guided self service approach is perfect if you have an admin or team in place.

At the Managed Operations service level our launch assistance becomes more hands on. Our launch admins have access to build and configure your servers, including installing backups and monitoring. Need a user added? It’s a phone call or ticket away.
