We have several Rackspace e-mail boxes. Most of them we use almost nothing in space. However there are 2 boxes with very heavy use. It would be nice if we can use the total space more fluently (that we can assign more space to one box and less to another. Or be able to buy a extension to our e-mail box that needs it.
Thank you for your feedback. Currently there are no plans to have Rackspace Email expanded beyond 25 GB. If you require more storage we suggest upgrading to Hosted Exchange which has up to 100GB or archive emails locally using an email client.
I can see this was from 7 months ago. Have the plans changed? Google btw offers 30GB to its customers as standard and 1TB for enterprise customers.Surely rackspace being a cloud server company space would never be an issue?I have a few clients that hit the 25GB space and would willingly pay extra to have additional space.Really rackspace mail should offer initial 25GB and then offer increases of storage in blocks of 10GB for an additional fee.Its 2018, this is neither complicated or impossible and certainly a better option than asking clients to upgrade to Exchange which is literally 10 times more expensive.
Thanks for your feedback! I will definitely get it over to our product team for review.
We appreciate you taking the time to voice your feedback.
Have a great evening!
Faisal, I am about to migrate over 40 accounts to Microsoft over this, and guess what- they will be paid more than what I am paying Rackspace. It is very frustrating and painful as a business owner to need to fight with a vendor over something seemingly irrelevant such as upgrading cloud storage (for all intense purposes- this is an oxymoron because the cloud provides as much or as little utility as required.
Customer Request: I want to pay more for storage space.
Rackspace Answer: You cant do that
Customer Response: Fire the vendor
My response is to take business somewhere that can accommodate my organizations requirements. We commonly deal with large file sizes of 2-6 MB each, I am forced personally to manage my email storage space than my business. I rely upon your product to allow me to do my job, this is preventing me from doing my job effectively. I am archiving outside of Rackspace on our intranet to keep from loosing information. It took me only 4 years to tap out on my space. I intend to be in business a long time and do not want to lose history because our industry is small and I want to know if I have had communications with someone in the past.
Please Give me an answer, change policy, or do whatever is required including responding- "Sorry, but we simply can not do this." It is rare that your customer begs to remain with your service.. take advantage of it.
Take a look at our Office 365 at Rackspace plans, since you're considering them anyway.
Let me know if you need anything else!
